Who:

Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores

When:

Test dates are on Saturdays, as Oakes High School is a National Test Center. Students should enter the gym lobby at 7:45 on test day at the Oakes High School. Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors wanting to take the ACT, or retest, must register and pay for the ACT test by credit card at: www.myact.org  You can take it as many times as you wish, however, after two times ACT will create a Superscore for you. You cannot do your own for the college application process. 

What:

The ACT is the nation’s most popular college entrance exam accepted and valued by all universities and colleges in the United States. The ACT is based on what students learn in high school and provides personalized information about their strengths for education and career planning. A composite score or superscore of 24 is needed for the ND State Scholarship. If the college you are interested in wants you to take the SAT. Please come and see me.  

Fee Waiver:  If you qualify for free and reduced meals at school, you can qualify for a fee waiver. The counselor can request one for you. Please see the counselor if you would like a Fee Waiver.
