Meet Sydney Meehl – New 4th–6th Grade Math Teacher

 

Meet Sydney Meehl – New 4th–6th Grade Math Teacher: Mrs. Meehl, and her husband Bryce grew up right here in Oakes! After graduating from OHS, she initially pursued a degree in cosmetology, but it didn't take her long to realize that her true passion lies in being surrounded by kids! She earned her education degree from Minnesota State University Moorhead and began her teaching career at Northern Cass. During her five years there, she learned all about Personalized Learning and grew as an educator, fine tuning her skills to focus on what is truly best for learners.

 

When she is not in the classroom she enjoys being outside with her family. She really appreciates the slower pace that comes with living back home in Oakes, especially the 2-minute drive to the grocery store when she's forgotten something! Sydney says that she and her family are "so thankful for the warm welcome already received, and feel truly blessed to back in Oakes as a part of the community once again!"
