  • To supervise, assess, and coordinate boys’ basketball activities.
  • Demonstrate and teach physical techniques of basketball.
  • Motivate team members to excel and teach life-long skills and values.
  • Maintain communication with other coaches, administration, athletes, and parents.

Junior High Math Teacher

Oakes Public School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior High Math Teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time position serving students in grades 7 & 8, with a focus on fostering strong mathematical understanding and critical thinking skills in a supportive and engaging classroom environment. Qualifications:
  • North Dakota teaching license (or the ability to obtain one) in the area of Elementary Education OR Mathematics Education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for working with junior high students and promoting a positive learning experience.
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development.
  • Experience in middle school/junior high math instruction.
  • Familiarity with North Dakota Content Standards for Mathematics.
  • Knowledge of technology integration in the classroom.

Regular Route and Activity Bus Drivers

Oakes Public School is seeking bus drivers for regular routes, and activities, responsibilities include: 

  • Operating school bus on assigned routes to and from school and special events 
  • Maintain a clean bus interior, including floors, windows, and seats 
  • Investigates and resolves safety hazards, equipment problems and emergency situations 
  • Moderate physical requirements, may be required to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds 
  • Pay is $50.09 per route (two routes per day) 
  • Activity Routes are $50.09 plus paid sit time
