Full-Time JH Math Teacher

Oakes Public School is seeking a Full-Time Junior High Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. OPS is a forward-thinking school district serving 400+ students in grades K–12. Our instructional systems emphasize personalized learning, clear proficiency targets, and timely intervention, and we continue refining those practices to ensure strong alignment and sustained learner growth. We are looking for a collaborative team member who is committed to continuous growth and who will utilize personalized instructional practices to ensure learners develop the essential skills needed for long-term success.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction
  • Establish and maintain a structured, positive learning environment
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and intervention
  • Participate in collaborative PLC processes and school improvement efforts
  • Communicate effectively with families and the school community
  • Integrate appropriate instructional technologies
  • Contribute positively to the overall school culture
  • Optional coaching opportunities

Proper North Dakota licensure is required.

Salary and benefits include:

  • 21.75% Teacher Retirement, Health Insurance, Flexible Spending Account, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, and Vision Insurance

  • Beginning salary $45,000 plus compensation for experience

Regular Route and Activity Bus Drivers

Oakes Public School is seeking bus drivers for regular routes, and activities, responsibilities include: 

  • Operating school bus on assigned routes to and from school and special events 
  • Maintain a clean bus interior, including floors, windows, and seats 
  • Investigates and resolves safety hazards, equipment problems and emergency situations 
  • Moderate physical requirements, may be required to lift and move items weighing up to 35 pounds 
  • Pay is $50.09 per route (two routes per day) 
  • Activity Routes are $50.09 plus paid sit time 
  • Job to start August 21, 2025

Part-Time Strength & Conditioning Coach

Oakes Public School is seeking a Strength & Conditioning Coach.  This position is part-time, responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the implementation of a strength and speed program for student-athletes in grades 9-12
  • Plan, instruct and supervise the year-round implementation of the strength and speed program
  • Work with coaches to design in and out of season strength and speed programs
  • Maintain communication with other coaches, administration, athletes, and parents.
  • Beginning salary $4,485.00
