OPS Smart Restart Plan Updates 9/15

The OPS Smart Restart Plan was updated by the School Board on September 15, 2020. A complete copy of the document can be found here: https://bit.ly/2FJBVfi A summary of changes made can be found below:

OPS Restart Plan 9/15/20 Updates:

1. Addition of the COVID-19 Parents Decision Tree under “Absences”;

2. Amendment to Contact Director for more information under “Hygiene Practices”;

3. Addition of Non-Irritating disinfectants will be used to avoid triggering breathing issues of students and staff under “Cleaning”;

4. Amendment to remove spots will be marked for allowed seating, and change markers will not be placed on the floor but in the area under “Physical Distancing-Lunchroom”;

5. Remove staggered seating and no sharing and add seats will be assigned under “Physical Distancing-Bussing.”

6. Addition of 7-12 Grade Students may enter the East Entrance at 7:45 a.m. under “Drop Off/Pick Up”;

7. Remove posting capacity limits in rooms under “Bathroom, Hallways, Common Areas”;

8. Addition of guidelines under “Extracurricular Activities”;

9. Addition of Technology Section;

10. Addition of question Does your child or anyone in your house have a pending COVID-19 Test due to possible exposure under “Daily Student Health Check.”

11. Amendment to facial and/or instrument coverings may be required when singing or playing an instrument under “Physical Distancing”

Extracurricular Activities Section:

1. Concessions from will, to may be available;

2. Indoor Seating

a. Maximum capacity of 500 includes players, fans, workers, and officials;

b. Tickets will be issued to each team athlete and issued to the away team based on roster size;

c. Ticket will be required to be admitted

d. Masking and social distancing is encouraged

e. Applies to ALL school activities held in school facilities.

3. Outdoor Seating

a. Maximum capacity of 500 DOES NOT include players, workers, and officials;

b. Tickets will be issued to each team athlete and issued to the away team based on roster size;

c. Ticket will be required to be admitted

d. Masking and social distancing is encouraged

e. Applies to ALL school activities held in school facilities.

4. All requirements will be the same in “Yellow” except the following:

a. Maximum capacity will be reduced to 250.
